Gelbvieh Profit Partners name new COO, board members
DENVER, Colo. — During its April board meeting in Denver, Gelbvieh Profit Partners, LLC, announced the officers and director for its board and also named John Carrel of Columbus, Mont., as the interim Chief Operating Officer. Carrel replaces Bryan Weech in the position.

Most recently, Carrel was the general manager for Beartooth Ranch in Montana. Carrel has an MBA from Columbia University. He and his wife, Laurie, recently moved onto their own ranch and have two daughters.

The company’s board of directors include chairman of the board, Steve Munger, Highmore, S.D.; vice president, John Carrel; secretary Skylar Martin, Oregon, Ill.

During board elections, Jay Johnson of Happy, Texas, was elected treasurer. Elected to serve three-year terms on the Gelbvieh Profit Partner Board were Dave Judd, Pomona, Kan.; Scott Starr, Stapleton, Neb.; and Steve Munger.

Bragg promoted to communications manager at Dow AgroSciences
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Russ Bragg has been named product communications manager by Dow AgroSciences for the U.S. Northern Crops business.

Bragg will work with the company’s communications agency, Bader Rutter & Associates, and marketing specialists in the creation and execution of brand messaging and tactics for Mycogen® brand seeds, Herculex® Insect Protection traits and crop protection products for corn, soybeans, small grains and other specialty crops.

Bragg most recently served as a sales representative in southwestern and central North Dakota. A native of Martin, Tenn., Bragg earned a degree in ag business from the University of Tennessee-Martin and a master’s degree in ag economics from Purdue University.
