Children’s farm author helping other writers

MILTON, Ind. — After publishing several children’s books and visiting elementary schools, Shelley Davis found enthusiastic students who enjoyed writing their own stories. She and friends Betsy Davis and Cindy Benson came up with a way to let children, and adults, be authors.

Kids At Heart Publishing offers several options, from having just a few books printed, to mass production for retail sales. This includes children’s full-color books and novels. The goal, Shelley Davis said, is to get children interested in reading and writing, and to work with interested schools on student writing contests.

Davis, who lives in Milton, has published several children’s books, notably about and including farm animals and farm life. To learn more about Kids At Heart, call 765-478-5873, e-mail her at shelley_71@verizon.net or write to her at: P.O. Box 492, Milton, IN 47357.
