Miami East FFA chapter inducts new members
CASSTOWN, Ohio — On Nov. 28, 2005, the Miami East FFA awarded 44 new members their Greenhand FFA Degree.

The Greenhand Degree is awarded to first year members of the FFA, and is the first award that can be received. Each member awarded received a pin to be worn on their FFA jacket and a certificate of achievement.

Jesse Branner, State FFA Vice President of the Ohio FFA Association, was the guest speaker.

Members receiving their Greenhand FFA Degree included Jennifer Armstrong, Kelsey Bates, Tyler Beard, John Birhanzl, Dalton Chinn, Alysha Coverstone, Ashley Dankworth, Jack DeFord, Zack Duff, Leah Duncan, Isaac Everett, Josh Fleenor, Katelyn Fourman, David Gawronski, Brandon Goldberg, Chelsea Grinnell, Michael Hale, Dusten Harlow, Garrett Harris, Kyle Havenar, Sarah Hazelwood, Chris Heiss, Coy Heigel, Morgan Howard, Kyle Karadak, Dustin Kinney, Hannah Long, Randi McCuistion, Chelsea Mick, William Moore, Eric Percel, Jonathon Plunkett, Logan Pyers, Zach Ramey, Jacob Reid, Ashley Rice, Morgan Rice, Amber Schaffer, Chelsea Silvers, Jennifer Tron, and Amanda Werling.

Gamble receives American Degree
ROCKFORD, Ohio — Amanda Gamble received her FFA American Degree on Oct. 29, 2005 at the 78th National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky. Gamble is the daughter of John and Ricki Gamble of Rockford. She graduated from Parkway in 2004 and is pursuing an agricultural teaching degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus.

While in the Parkway FFA, Amanda served as vice president and president. She also served the Ohio FFA as District 4 President. Amanda is still actively involved in FFA at Ohio State and serves on the Made For Excellence Staff. Some of her other activities include: Ag Ed Society, where she is the co-chair of the programming committee and the co-chair of the Scarlet & Gray Ag Day Committee.
