Equipment retailers association
elects new officers and directors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The members of the Mid-America Equipment Retailers Association elected the following officers and directors at the group’s annual convention recently held in Louisville, Ky.

Mark A. Burks of Shelby Supply Co., Inc. in Shelbyville, Ky. was elected president. Other officers include vice president, Michael W. Romack of Heartland New Holland, Inc. in Pendleton, Ind.; treasurer, Brown Gwynn of Dixie Farm Store, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Ky.; and national director, Charles Hopf of Hopf Equipment in Huntingburg, Ind.

Elected as directors were Daryl Zimmer of Zimmer Tractor of Brookville, Ind. and Rich Keller of Wright Implement Co., Inc. of Rockville, Ind.

Mid-America Equipment Retailers Association is a regional trade association, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., with more than 400 members.

Glassmeyer named outstanding
conservation board member

OWENSVILLE, Ohio — Joe Glassmeyer, chairman of the Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Board of Supervisors has been named the recipient of this year’s Conservation District Board Member of the Year Award for Ohio.

The Ohio Conservation District Employees Association sponsors the awards, which are given annually for outstanding professionalism and performance in the conservation field.

Glassmeyer was chosen from among 440 eligible SWCD board members in Ohio to receive this award.

He was honored for his accomplishment at the Ohio Federation of SWCD’s annual meeting in Columbus on Jan. 18, at which time he was also presented with an award for 20 years of service to the conservation field. As a long-time board member for the Clermont SWCD, Glassmeyer has been instrumental in helping to establish many of the district’s service and education programs.

Glassmeyer is a graduate of Xavier University, and lives on a farm in Felicity, Ohio, with his wife Rosalie. He is also a full-time bus driver for the Felicity-Franklin School District.
