Hardin County, Ohio Extension is seeking support from voters
Dear Friends of Extension,
For the past 74 years, the Hardin County OSU Extension office has served the people of our county. Funding for Extension has always come from what is called the General Fund. This is the same fund that pays for the sheriff’s office, the county treasurer and other county offices.

Due to a shortfall in revenue for 2010 the Hardin County Commissioners have found it necessary to eliminate funding for the Hardin County Extension program for next year.

A levy to fund Extension has been placed on the Nov. 3 General Election Ballot. The money collected from this levy is specifically designated to fund the Extension program.

If this levy passes, Extension programming will continue. If it fails, the office will be forced to close at the end of 2009 and all programs - including 4-H - will be discontinued.

I hope you will consider supporting the levy to keep Extension in our county and will share the information on the levy with people you know.

Should you have any questions please e-mail me at farmerbob@dbscorp.netm or call 937-354-3243.
