MBIC sponsored 2024 Bridge Run

MACKINAW CITY, Mich. – For the second year in a row, the Michigan Beef Industry Commission (MBIC) served as the premier sponsor of the 2024 Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Run, an annual event bringing together nearly 700 runners and an estimated 30,000 walkers. As runners and walkers geared up to cross the iconic bridge, the commission was on-site to promote the nutritional benefits of beef, emphasizing its role as a powerful and healthy protein source.
To engage with participants and spectators, MBIC distributed 5,000 jerky sticks the morning of the event. These protein-packed snacks offered a delicious and convenient way for runners and walkers alike to refuel after their time on the bridge.
“Being part of this Michigan tradition is important to us, as we see it as a great opportunity to highlight the value of beef in fueling not only athletes but everyday people with essential nutrients they need,” said Lindsay Green, director of marketing communications of the MBIC. “We’re proud to sponsor this event and to engage directly with the community promoting beef as a vital source of protein.”
As a long-standing advocate for the beef industry, MBIC continues its mission to educate the public on the health benefits of beef. From busy families to athletes, beef provides the essential nutrients needed for strength and endurance.
