Farm World Insider premier edition debuts in this paper

Inserted in this week’s newspaper is the first annual edition of the Farm World Insider, a directory of contact details for ag information and businesses in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois Kentucky and Michigan.
This new directory supports our mission to be the best source of information available to Midwest farmers. This directory is provided to our subscribers at no additional cost.
The listings in The Insider are designed to connect farmers with farm service and equipment suppliers and also with key government and university resources. The directory has been divided into broad classifications to help our readers to quickly locate the information they need.
Our staff believes this directory will grow stronger with each edition every year. We appreciate feedback from our readers. Tell us what you would like to see added to next year’s edition, and tell us what you like about this one.
Farm World would like to thank the businesses who also see the value of this directory to farmers and bought advertising space in it. Without their support, we would not have been able to provide this resource for our readers.
Farm World Expo
As many of our readers know, the fifth annual Farm World Expo is on the move.
The 2008 Expo will be at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Ind., Sept. 4-6. Farm World will not charge an admission fee for Expo visitors this year at the new location.
Many popular elements of the show will return, such as the horse-and-rider clinics, the cattle grooming demonstrations, the petting zoo, a home-interest stage with country-living tips and acres of large farm equipment.
However, many new things are planned, as well. Among the new events will be an Open Cattle Show on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Those wishing to buy a booth at the Expo should call Show Manager Toni Hodson at 1-800-876-5133.
Correction
In last week’s Page 6 story Indiana’s BOAH neutral on milk labeling controversy, it was stated that not all producers and individuals agree (on the rBST issue), especially major dairy cooperatives such as Monsanto.
This should instead read, not all producers and individuals agree, especially major dairy cooperatives such as DFA, Michigan Milk Producers and Foremost Farms.
Also, in the 6th paragraph down, it states, in response to the controversy, BOAH passed an addendum to Indiana House Bill No. 1300 on Jan. 17. This statement should instead read, in response to the controversy, BOAH discussed Indiana House Bill No. 1300 on Jan. 17.
BOAH did not vote on House Bill No. 1300, at all.
