KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. — The Farm World Expo, in partnership with Farm Credit Services, has announced it will host the 3-A-Day of Dairy Fuels Nutrition and Health Day on - Friday, Sept. 5.
Centrally located, the 2008 Expo will take place in Lebanon, Ind. at the Boone County Fairgrounds from Sept. 4-6. Farm World Expo admission is free for attendees.

On the second day of a three day farm show, the 3-A-Day of Dairy Fuels Nutrition and Health Day will showcase educators, products, demonstrations and research on how dairy fuels nutrition and health. “Milk Promotion Services of Indiana will sponsor the 3-A-Day of Dairy Fuels Nutrition and Health Day at the upcoming Farm World Expo,” said Julie Hardin, RD, manager of communications.
“We look forward to talking with producers about how dairy promotion is focused on fulfilling unmet demand. We are finding new markets and stimulating existing markets to bridge the gap between current sales and potential sales. We also plan to educate all attendees on dairy’s role in a healthy diet. Enjoying 3-A-Day of Dairy – three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt - is a deliciously easy way to help families build stronger bones and healthier bodies.”

In addition to the features offered by Friday’s topic, the Expo will present a health fair on site for screenings, information and rural health outreach.

“I believe the health fair will be well attended,” said Emily Myers, the Expo’s marketing manager. “By providing a venue to educate and demonstrate the importance of health and nutrition and providing potentially life-saving screenings to the public, outreach with the Farm World Expo goes well beyond the fairgrounds and our 3-day show.”

Milk Promotion Services of Indiana will have a booth featuring the latest nutrition and health information. Food demonstrations will also be given throughout the day on Sept. 5.

Agrisource Commodities Day will be Thursday, Sept. 4. Agrisource will showcase speakers, products, demonstrations and research on commodities, crop insurance and grain marketing.

“Agrisource, Inc is looking forward to presenting Commodities Day at the Farm World Expo,” said John Zanker, President. “We look forward to meeting producers to discuss current market trends and strategies for today’s extremely volatile climate. The Expo is a great place to meet with clients from all over Indiana and surrounding states.”

Vice President, Linda Meyer added, “Our No. 1 priority is taking care of the farmers marketing and insurance needs. We are the farmer’s ‘watch dog’ when it comes to cash contracts, storage arrangements, etc. We don’t have to answer to anyone else besides the producer. In this day and age of mega-mergers, the farmer needs more choices, not less.”

Agrisource is a grain marketing, crop insurance and commodities brokerage firm. With 19 locations in 7 states, Agrisource has the Midwest covered.
